The mission of St. Michael Catholic School is to form disciples of Christ through an
education focused on faith, conscience, scholarship, and service.
St. Michael Catholic School sponsors interscholastic athletic programs for students in fifth through eighth grade. The mission of our school sports program is to provide an opportunity for our students to learn the skills of each sport while giving them an opportunity to interact with their peers outside of the classroom. The school has been greatly pleased by the number of St. Michael student athletes who continue to participate in sports throughout high school.
Athletics should teach fair play and sportsmanship, understanding and appreciation of teamwork. Academic work goes hand-in-hand with athletics, and SMCS has an athletic eligibility requirement to make sure that students maintain academic requirements.
St. Michael Catholic School participates within the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference (HJPC) and administers the policies set forth by the governing body.
Student-athletes are allowed to participate in one school sport per season. Each coach expects full commitment to the school team each season.
