The SMS Library Media Center houses a wide array of books, multi-media, reference and teacher resources, as well as equipment for use by students, faculty, and parents. Our library staff maintains a library collection of over 25,000 books, multi-media items (such as books on tape, CD-ROMS, videos, and DVDs), databases, search engines, and electronic and hard copy periodicals.
Audio-Visual Resources and Technology in the Library
The Media Center presently has four desktop computers for patron use and four desktop computers for the staff and volunteers. We also have televisions, overhead and multi-media projectors, video and digital cameras, and a Smart Board. There is Internet access for all computers. Students may access our online databases such as OPAC and Accelerated Reader Enterprise from the library. Our new reference databases may be accessed from home with special passwords issued through the library, computer labs or from Ms. Polasek or Ms. Webb. See our Library Research page for more information.
