Last weekend, our Middle School Forensic Team competed in the St. Agnes Academy Middle School Speech Tournament. We are proud to announce that St. Michael won the first place sweepstakes trophy by earning over 500 team points in all fourteen categories! St. Michael had 44 participants who participated in 156 entries in the tournament. In addition, ninety-three percent of the Forensic Team made semi-finals or placed at the tournament.
The members of our Forensic Team have dedicated many hours after school, perfecting their pieces for the competition. Under the leadership of Dr. Carolyn Baker and Ms. Cheli Henderson, the St. Michael Forensic Team has distinguished themselves as an exemplary team in local competitions. Faculty members Mrs. Emily Murphy, Mrs. Monica Glauser, Dr. Sandra Derby, Ms. Dolores Lemon, Mrs. Linda Homan, Mrs. Mary Revia, Mrs. Kathi Steger and Ms. Gail Carlisle as well as parent volunteers, Mrs. Carolyn Garofalo, Mrs. Carole Day, Mrs. Stephanie Berno, Mrs. Michelle Gallagher, Mrs. Alice Smith, Mrs. Susan Greteman, Mrs. Rosanne Ramon, Mrs. Gina Leck, Mrs. Lynn Torning and Mrs. Linda Landsdell were also instrumental in the success of the team. We are very grateful to all of them!
