LuAnn Turley is a former elementary classroom teacher with 10 years of experience in the classroom, implementing the arts in innovative ways in the regular classroom. For 3 years she worked in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts as one of the authors of the award winning curriculum, Learning Through Art, which infuses art into all aspects of teaching. She was then hired by the Museum of Fine Arts as a staff educator and presenter and worked at the museum for 15 years as a developer of curriculum, classroom educator, teacher trainer and author. Recently, she authored the book, A Wreath, a Tree, and Me, which combines the permanent collection at the museum with poetry designed to inspire students, of all ages, to look more deeply into artwork through poetry.
