Grandparents' Day has become a very important part of our Thanksgiving Day observance at St. Michael Catholic School. This traditional occasion begins with a reception in the Parish Life Center for the grandparents, followed by classroom visits and ends with a Mass of Thanksgiving prior to regular dismissal. We realize that all grandparents will not be able to be present, so we plan to include absent grandparents in our prayers at the liturgy. However, in the event that grandparents are unable to participate, a substitute special friend is certainly welcome to this event.
If you wish to have your child’s grandparents/special friend invited to the Grandparents’ Celebration in November, please fill out the Information Form found in the Forms section to the right and turn it in to your homeroom teacher by Friday, September 11, so that an invitation can be mailed to them.
Parents are always welcome to join Grandparents and students for the Thanksgiving Mass at 2:00pm.
