Here's your Book Fair Special Events Line-up:

Friday, May 8th

• 3:30 pm - Library "Birthday Club" Kick-Off - Donate your favorite book in honor of a special friend at our donation table.
  
• 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Join Monsignor Rossi for Read-A-Story at 4:30 pm.
• 5:00 pm - "Fancy Nancy" and "Pirate" Style Show - Grades Pre-K - 1st dress-up in your favorite "Fancy Nancy" or "Pirate" costume and participate in a fun and interactive style show! Afterward, listen to "Fancy Nancy" and "Pirate" books as they are read by Kate, the Barnes & Noble Children's Department Coordinator.
• Friday Evening - Special appearance by illustrator Bill Meganhardt. Librarian, Cheli Henderson, will read his book "Don't Eat the Bluebonnets." At this time, you may also sign-up to purchase his new books "Hayfest" and "The String".
• Teen Advisory - Awards will be given all weeekend to Middle School students who attend the book fair and sign-up with Ms. Henderson to help choose teen books for the library and future book club discussions.
• Family Night! - Friday night is Family Night at Texadelphia, 6025 Westheimer anytime from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Meet for dinner and sit in the special reserved section for SMS families!

Saturday, May 9th

• 9:00 am - Breakfast with Dad - Have donuts, juice and coffee with dad and shop for great Mother's Day presents for mom!
• Meet the new SMS Principal, Chris Skrownek! - (TBA) Officially kick-off our Summer Reading Program with a story from our new principal!
• 10:30 am - "Tea and Couplets" for all! - Come enjoy a tea party and poetry display with poems written by students in grades 3rd-6th.
  
• 11:30 am - Hear a book talk with Melissa Williams, author of "Iggy the Iguana", and sign-up for her summer reading/writing camp.
• 1:00 pm - 6th-8th grade raffle drawing for a purple I-pod Nano and Pre-K-5th grade drawing for an SMS white tiger!
