On Thursday, May 21 we celebrated the graduation and awards ceremony for the Class of 2015. In addition to our own academic awards, The Gabel Scholarship and the President’s Academic Scholarship were awarded by St. Thomas High School to Joshua Madden. The Gabel Scholarship, one of the most coveted scholarships at St. Thomas, was created by Dr. Gerard Gabel ('75) to honor his parents, George Clifford & Mary Teresa Gabel. The scholarship is renewable for each year of attendance at St. Thomas High School as long as the recipient maintains a GPA of 90.0% or greater. The President's Academic Scholarship is given in recognition of scoring in the top two percent nationwide on the Entrance Exam. We congratulate all of our graduates who were recognized for their academic success!
We are proud to announce that 28 of our 43 graduates will be attending Catholic high schools and 93% of our graduating class will be attending the high school they selected as their first choice. Each year, our students are consistently accepted to the high school of their choice and the majority of our graduates choose to continue their education in Catholic schools. This is a testament to the foundation that St. Michael Catholic School is providing, both spiritually and academically.
