Congratulations to the St. Michael Speech Team who competed in the St. Agnes Speech Tournament on Saturday, March 24! Ninety-three percent of our team made semi-finals or placed in the finals at the tournament!

Tournament Highlights:

Five of our seven duet acting teams made it into the final round and swept the top three places:

• 1st Place- Cara Day and Sarah Collins won with a moving scene from The Miracle Worker.
• 2nd Place- James Moskosky and Wayne Wickman made people laugh with a scene from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
• 3rd Place- Camille Gallagher and Erik Torning were entertaining with a scene from The Secret Garden.

ALL of our solo lip sync teams made it into finals and swept the top three places:

• 1st Place- Cara Day was moving when she did her lip sync to Electricity from "Billy Elliot".
• 2nd Place- Heather Vaclavik loves Taylor Swift and her lip sync to Speak Now was so fun!
• 3rd Place- Isabella Garofalo charmed the judges with You Cant' Get a Man With a Gun from "Annie Get Your Gun".
